Lavinia Pereira, MA, CCC-SLP is a speech language pathologist who has been in private practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for over 18 years. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children diagnosed with moderate to severe developmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorders and Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). Lavinia’s experience in the field of speech language pathology is multifaceted; she has supervised graduate students at New York University and has guest lectured on the topics of therapeutic planning and treatment techniques at both NYU and Columbia University. She is trained in ABA, Oral Motor Therapy and PROMPT.
Lavinia is the co-author of First Sound Series books, a series of interactive children’s books that foster the development and growth of speech and language skills. For over a decade the books have sold internationally to schools, centers, clinicians and parents.
Lavinia earned her degree in Speech Language Pathology from New York University and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist in New York State.
